Application cannot switch between servers when failover happens

Hi:)

We set up a failover group for our Azure SQL server and I want to test if It's working with power apps.

I made the failover group, and connected the primary server to my canvas PowerApps application where you can list, edit, add, delete data.

It's working fine until the point I make the failover which sets the secondary server to primary which is writeable and the primary to secondary which is read-only.

After this the application can still list the data but unfortunately I cannot edit, add or delete it.

It seems that the application cannot switch between the primary and the secondary server even if there is a failover.

Is it possible to connect to the Azure sql db in a way that this works? If the answer is yes what kind of connector should I use?

What am I missing? I am really lost, tried everything

thx
