Can't use dynamic field with the Approvals action

Hello,

I have read the different options online but can't seem to find a solution to my issue. I need to use an if statement to determine who to send the approval to, and that happens in the Set Variable action and works. I then added a Get User Profile action just to check that the variable is correct, and the action returns the user, but even using the Mail from the Get User Profile action the Approvals action still throws an error. Please help!

BadRequest. The request failed. Error code: 'InvalidApprovalCreateRequestAssignedToNoValidUsers'. Error Message: 'Required field 'assignedTo' contained no valid users in the organization'.

From your screen shot, it looks like there may be a space in front of the Mail value from the Get user profile action in the Assigned to field. Check that. Then if that isn't the issue, I would add a Compose action after the Get user profile and pass the Mail value through it. Run the flow and see what is returned if you still get the error. If a value is returned and you get the same error, you will need to check if the user's account is enabled.

Then if all that fails, you will need to check the permissions in your environment to make sure that the users have Approval User permissions.

User causing the issue showed up in the directory but had their account disable, which was causing the issue.
