How to connect to a Power BI dataset?

Hi guys,

Power Apps newbie here. Does anyone know of how to connect to a particular Power BI dataset?

In the 'Data' section, I've added PowerBI, but... 'This form isn't connected to any data yet'. And when I click on 'Connect to data', nothing happens.

Huge thanks in advance,

Alice

@AliceW, If you want to connect to dataset, then rather than getting it from Power Bi, you can directly add to PowerApps as data source. Example: Your Power Bi is created from dataset called as SharePoint List. Then you can directly use that SP list and add it as data source to canvas app and get a field from that data source. Check this: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/canvas-apps/connections/connection-sharepoint-online

I found the Tile, thank you for going the extra mile. This is a great feature to save for later!

I wonder though if there is a way to connect to the dataset behind the report. Like, get a field from that dataset...

@AliceW : PFB screenshot, basically both refer to same property:

You can follow the article that I mention in my previous answer to generate embedded URL of Power Bi report which can be used as TileUrl

Hi ANB, unfortunately, I can't figure out how to find the 'TileURL'...

Hi @AliceW, EDITED: Basically in TileUrl or Data, you need to add the embedded URL or add a report. I have explain in the below post, please check this https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps/Cannot-add-PowerBi-into-PowerApps/m-p/2398574#M598575
