Hi Community,

I am desperate for some help and have no idea how to resolve this. I have built an app that I am trying to embed in SharePoint, Lock Aspect Ratio is off. But if I do not select scale to fit it looks like this:

no scale to fit.jpg

If I do select scale to fit it looks like this:

Can you help me to understand where I made a mistake?

With best regards & thanks in advance

Chris

    Hi @Feanor ,

If you do not select scale to fit, the App size will be that in the settings -> Display -> Size and never change. When you turn off scale to fit, since TextInput or Rich text editor will not scale according to the screen size, you will see the results in your screenshots.

One of the best approaches of embedding Canvas Apps into SharePoint web part that I would say is setting up the App size and lay outs based on the layout of the web part, you may estimate the resolution for example one column layout resolution for a 1920*1080 monitor would probably be 1280*400. Then turn on scale to fit and arrange all the controls.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello @Feanor ,

I had the same problem, with my Power App with a Home screen and details screen.

Display setting: default size, scale to fit, lock aspect ratio.

When I tried to publish in SharePoint in a 1 column section, whatever I did I had the screens truncated.

I reduced the display size to I-pad, custom, but still the screen was truncated after publishing…

I was able to fix the problem by adding a transparent rectangle with 1px border, to both home screen and details screen. After I inserted the triangle I selected ‘Reorder’ then 'send to back' for both screens.

When I published it in SharePoint the size was not truncated even after manually reducing the size occupied by the webpart.

You could try it and check if it works for you as well.
