- Downloaded the Power Automate Desktop and trying to create a new flow in either my Trial or Default environment.

Getting a message on both that says:

" This user doesn't have the required privileges (or role membership) to access the selected environment"

    Hi @PS_kateel123

Feel free to follow the below steps:

    1. Go to https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/environments
    2. Click on your Environment
    3. On the Access pane, click on Users "See all"
    4. Click on your user
    5. Click on Manage Roles (on top), and make sure that you have the "Environment Maker" & "CDS User" roles

    I hope the above helps.

Yes, both of those roles along with System Administrator are checked.

I'm having the same issue. I have an admin account with the RPA plan and it had a p2 plan as well as i use premium connectors.

The Power Automate Desktop App will sign in my standard user account, but won't let me sign in with the admin account under which all the automations sit.

Any ideas on why i can't log in with an account that just has a trial but not the one with the paid version?

Edit: so i followed the steps from here : https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Automate-Desktop/Being-global-admin-receiving-error-quot-This-user-doesn-t-have/m-p/708819/highlight/true#M199 and just enabled everything on my user and it gave me access in the desktop app, but none of my curent flows are showing in the desktop app, is that by design are they different?

    Hi @mousman85

In the Power Automate Desktop you should be able to see all the PAD flows that you have created in the past.

The PA Flows that you have created, can be found on the PA Portal.

    I hope the above helps!

I have tried granting all roles to my admin account and it still does not work. I am also trying a non-admin account but Power Automate Desktop will always attempt to log me back in with my other user.  I have signed out and attempted to "forget" my user and sign in with the non-admin account.  I can get the new user id entered but it never gets me to the point of prompting for password and then just signs in with my previous account.

@TexasRanger For troubleshooting signing out, please delete the file "msalcache.bin3" from this folder and try signing in to Power Automate Desktop again:

    %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Winautomation\

I deleted the file but it still is logging me into the prior account upon entering the user/login name

    Hi @TexasRanger

Please follow the steps below for a clean PAD reinstallation:

    1. Uninstall UI flows from Windows

    2. Delete the following folders:

    • %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\PAD.Console.Host.exe_StrongName_*
    • %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\PAD.Designer.Host.exe_StrongName_*
    • %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\PowerAutomate
    • %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\PowerAutomate.Desktop

    3. Install PAD again

Also, please confirm that you can login to flow.microsoft.com with the same email successfully.
