Hey everyone,
I discovered someone answers a question with the word reboot, this restarts the chatbot.
This is bad when some of our topics may have the answer reboot.
Is there any way to turn off this seemingly undocumented functionality?
Thanks in advance!
Trigger phrases are not meant to be exact matches and I'm assuming the PVA Natural Language Understanding associates "reboot" with "restart" here. If you expect users to use the word "reboot" in one of your topics, then adding it as part of your trigger phrases would help trigger the right topic and not the start over topic.
In the current version of PVA, you can't edit system topics. In the new version of PVA (public preview November 10, 2022), with the unified authoring canvas, you'll be able to customize and even disable the "Start Over" topic. When triggered, the start over topic will also ask the user to validate that they want to start over.
Hi Henry, thanks for the response.
The Start Over topic only has 3 triggers:
As you see, none are the word reboot.
I checked another bot I'm working on and I have the same problem. The work reboot is not in any triggers, but restarts the bot.
On a side note, I also don't see how to remove a trigger word once it's been entered.
It sounds like "reboot" is associated with the "restart" trigger phrase, from the "Start over" system topic.
Can you confirm "Reboot" is explicitly part of your custom topics trigger phrases? If so, I would have assumed that it would have had a higher weight for topic triggering.
