Hi,

When I go to Document Automation (Preview) and try to select Custom documents to build my solution, I get the following error:

Document automation requires System Customizer permission to install a new package. Contact your admin or create a new environment.

I have created an environment for this solution but still receiving the error.

    Hi,

Yes you need a system customizer role to install the solution as it creates custom entities on your environment.

    2 options to get unblocked:

    1. Find someone who has at least System Customizer role on the current environment and ask this person to install Document Automation  and share in Edit mode the flows and app installed with this solution

    2. Create a new environment (Sandbox) were you can assess this feature.

    Hi Cedrix,

    Thank you for your reply.

I have created a Sandbox environment but still receiving the same error. I created the Sandbox with these parameters:

But still, when I go to Power automate I have the same error:

Should I assign somehow this environment to the Document Automation app?

    Thanks and regards,

    Gus

    Hi,

    Can you try this please

    1. Go to https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/

    2. Go to the "Environments" left menu

    3. Click on the environment name

    4. On the top menu click on "Settings"

    5. Under "Users + permissions" click on "Users"

    6. Select your user name

Now refresh the document automation page and let me know if this solves your problem.

    Thanks,

Hi, I am stuck at Step 4 & 5 in trying to set a user with "System Customizer", though I am already the administrator of this environment. Can you please advise where to locate the "Settings" > "Users + permissions" click on "Users"?

    4. On the top menu click on "Settings"

    5. Under "Users + permissions" click on "Users"

    6. Select your user name

    7. In the top menu click on "Manage security roles"

    8. On the right pane, select "System Customizer" and save.

    Hi @PaulWang ,

You can manage these settings from Power Platform Admin Center.

You need to login to this URL https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/

    here's the learning module  https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/modules/get-started-ai-builder-document-automation/3-configure

    Hope it helps!

    Thank you for the response.

However, I am still unable to locate the "Settings" mentioned. The "Settings" (a gear icon on top right corner of the screen is merely to choose the color theme, password and contact preferences but nothing on the user configuration.

As such, please show me exactly where i can locate the "Settings" of the Environment. A screenshot would be good.

You should see this in the Power Platform Admin center

The fact that "Settings" is not showing up looks like a privilege issue on this environment.

You should contact your tenant admin.
