Dataverse Trigger: Using environment variable for table name

I'm trying to create a flow that could be re-used in different environments by having the table name set as environment variable that is updated when the flow solution is imported into a new environment. However, power automate throws an error saying that it cannot find the table. I'm using the entity set name as the environment variable for the specific table.Screenshot 2024-06-06 at 5.53.08 PM.pngScreenshot 2024-06-06 at 5.52.00 PM.png

    Hi @tajoynes ,

I think you should use entity logic name rather than entity set name here.

I've tried that but other dataverse actions fail because it cannot find the table with the 'logical name'. They only work with the entity set name

    Hi @tajoynes ,

I saved the entity logic name in environment variables and applied that variable to the trigger, it saved successfully.

Can you show the steps that fail?

Hi, I used the the logic name in the trigger and the set name for dataverse actions later throughout the flow, it saved and ran without errors

    Hi @tajoynes ,

Yes, the names used in the trigger and the action are different. Glad to see you solved the problem.

    Best Regards,

    Wearsky
