Flow Failing at Switch (SharePoint value?)

Hello, I wondered if anyone could enlighten me about why this flow might be failing.

I am trying to use a switch to look up a column within a SharePoint list. I wondered if perhaps it couldn't read the number in the column so changed it so I edited this so that it returned a number and had the same issue (ActionFailed. An action failed. No dependent actions succeeded.)

Thank you. It's the last part of the flow that needs to work for testing to be complete!

I have the same question (0)

    A Switch can only compare text/string

    If your absence count output is showing '1.00000000' and your Case is showing '1' then they will never equal.

    Your case would need to have '1.00000000' so that it will equal the value in the Switch.

    I would recommend trying to find something other than a number to use for the switch.

    Hi @cb23

    Pls convert the decimal number to integer using int() function in an expression. Expression needs to be written in the expression box as shown below:

    int(item()?['AbsenceCount1'])

    Pls retest after adding an expression.

    If this helps & solves your problem, please remember to give a 👍 and accept my solution as it will help others in the future.

    Thanks
