Insert a row to an Excel file accessed via on-prem gateway

I may be missing something really obvious here but how can I insert a row into a table in an Excel file when that file is on an on-prem server and not on OneDrive/SharePoint? The Insert a row action only give the option for OneDrive for Business.

If this is not possible is there at least the option to use the Insert a row action for a file located in a SharePoint document library? If so how?

    Hi @mark-carlisle,

If you want to insert a row into a table in an Excel file when that file is on an on-prem server,

I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in Microsoft Flow currently.

Inserting a row into a table in an Excel file when that file is on an on-prem server is not supported in microsoft flow currently.

If you would like this feature to be added in Microsoft Flow, please submit an idea to Flow Ideas Forum:

If you want to use the Insert a row action for a file located in a SharePoint document library, please refer to steps below to create the flow:

1.Add action Manually trigger a flow.

2.Add action "Add a row into a table" of excel Online (Business) connector.choose the sharepoint site, library and file to insert the row.
