Approval based on conditions

Hi there,

I'm wondering if someone can help me. I'm trying to create an approval process and I've hit a brick wall. The process goes like this:

Requestor: Completes SharePoint form

Triggers approval process for a cost approver

IF approved by cost approver - send this for further approval to a finance approver

However - It needs to be directed to the correct finance approver based on a chosen cost threshold (i.e. If <=5K send to *insert name*) which is included in the SharePoint form.

I've got to the point of the approval process based on the cost approver but can't seem to figure out how to trigger the next approval based on the condition of the threshold selected in the SharePoint form.

Apprentice BA here so quite new to forms. Any help would be greatly appreciated

After the outcome of the first approval is approved, use a condition based in the value and then run the second approval under both the yes and no outcomes. Then you just need to select the relevant person/fields under each side?

Alternatively you could use variables to set the approver based in the value and information provided.

@bradleyhorton Thanks for this Bradley. Are you able to provide an example of the alternative? Say for example, I want to send an email to a specific person based on the numerical value inputted by the user. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi @GeorgeSopra  are you able to provide some sample dummy data and a screen shot of your flow as it stands please?

Above is the SharePoint List I've created. The value I'm trying to pull through is "Amount Including VAT" with the conditions based on the below:

I know I'm missing some sort of code somewhere. I've tried all sorts of variations of strings and floats but I can't seem to find the one I'm after to make this work. Really appreciate the support!

    Thanks, @GeorgeSopra .

    Does this help?

First approval is sent, if approved then depending on the value, it triggers the relevant next approval.

These two items triggered these four emails
