    Hey Adrian!
I'm really keen to give this a spin and try out some exciting scenarios with the new agent API's.  My question is how do I get access to the public preview?

    I have:
     - A developer environment
     - In the US region
     - Is set for "Early" release at time of environment creation
     - Environment setting for Model Driven App release channel set for "Monthly" (I believe this is the fastest setting)
     - "Allow users to analyze data using an AI-powered chat experience" is set to "On"
     - The tenant is a member of the Teams TAP

Have I missed something? or us there some preview program I have to sign up to before I see the public preview features?

    Thanks,
       James.

Thanks @James Boman for reaching out. This feature is fully rolled out to all regions and ready to use. You don't need any special access.

    The key steps are:

    1. Create an agent associated with the model app using steps in

    2. Add or edit a topic in the agent to use "custom client event" trigger and provide a unique event name as shown in https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/model-driven-apps/form-designer-add-configure-agent-response#find-the-event-name-for-a-topic-in-copilot-studio

    3. Add a response to the topic (e.g. message) to be returned to the call

The executeEvent or Agent response component can pass the event name from #2 and get the topic response.
Let me know if there are any questions.

We updated the learn docs with several key additions.

Accessing app context or custom values within Copilot Studio topics
Agent APIs depend on the single Copilot Studio agent
Limitations on using Agent APIs in Microsoft shipped model apps
    Guidance on accessible custom controls
Please reply to this discussion if you have any questions or suggested improvements.

    Hi Adrian,

Is there a way to use executeEvent and have the event that gets triggered update the topic or display an adaptive card to the copilot sidecar in the model driven app?

My use case is that I want to update the "context" of the copilot sidecar when a form loads.  Example, provide information about the case that is open.

@mikevalen3c thanks for reaching out on this. We have had a couple of requests for the capability of using an API to send a prompt into the Copilot Chat in the side pane. We don't have a supported means today, but I have passed the request on to the team owning the Copilot Chat to consider.
