Apply to each after compose

Hi all,

I'm trying to deduplicate a column which is in a SharePoint list and move it to another one. The outputs of the compose work fine but not sure how to finish it off with the apply to each. At the moment it's returning the list from get items. When I have tried to use any of the compose variables it fails.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks

    @Duval_T ,

    Not exactly sure I understand your question.

    Are you able to upload a photo of your flow run?

    Is the column you are trying to copy a multi choice field? What expression are you using in Compose? What does the error message say?

    In that case try to convert the array to a string first using join() function and provide the output of the join to avoid the apply to each loop.

    Hi @SudeepGhatakNZ,

    Thanks for the response.

    The column is a single line of text. This is the expressions I'm using to compose and the initialize variable that comes before it. When I changed the initialize to a string I got this error message (Property selection is not supported on values of type 'String'.)

    I've applied the join in between compose 3 & 4. How do I provide the output of the join to the sharepoint list and avoid the apply to each loop?

    Sorry, I still dont see the join expression.

    I see that your Compose 3 returns the unique Locations

    So you will need to join the array using the comma as delimiter and provide the output of the action in your list

    Thanks. That works to output the compose, but the join enters the data all in one cell. Do you know how I can split this out into different rows please?

    @Duval_T ,

    I thought you wanted them all in one cell. Do you mean you want to have them in Multiple lines?

    Your field needs to be Multitext in that case. You might need to use a new line as the delimiter instead of ",".

    I haven't tried that.
