How to display an image from SharePoint List Item attachments

(0) ShareShare

Posted on by

Hello together,

I have 5 attachments (*.png) attached to a SharePoint list item.
In my Power App I am trying to display the attachments using the image control.

I am using the following formula:

First(ThisItem.Attachments).Value

But this formula gives me only the first attachment. 😞

I would like to be able to retrieve each attachment individually so that I can display them, individually in a form.

Can someone help me please? 😊

Kind regards

You can employ a Gallery for this...

Set the Items property of the Gallery to: ThisItem.Attachments

Then put an Image control in the Gallery and set the Image property to: ThisItem.Value

I hope this is helpful for you.

I do not want to display all the images at once. I want to retrieve them one by one in different DataCards.

So, a datacard is usually for a field in your underlying record.  Are you trying to do these in custom (not customized) datacards?  What is the purpose of separate datacards for them?

These are 3 of my 5 signature fields you can see in the screenshot below. The signatures need to be obtained one by one from different persons. All signatures are added as attachments to the SharePoint list item through a workflow. After each signature has been submitted, it should be visible when reopened in view/edit-mode.

Instead of using attachments to show an image, you can also use Image column type in SharePoint.

Power Apps can now display images from SharePoint Online/Microsoft Lists. This feature has started rolling out to Power Apps preview environments now. Check release timeline at:  Power Apps can now display images from SharePoint Online/Microsoft Lists

I am wanting to do similar, show the individual image in powerapps from a Sharepoint contact list where the images are in Attachments Column.  Won't show image or recognise the attachments column. Can't change the attachments column either in Sharepoint.
