Hi Everyone,

I am looking for some help here i am new to Power automate.

What i am after is i have a .ABA file in a folder on my server i would like to open the contents of this fil and look for 3 different strings and depending on what the string is i would like to move the file to a different folder on the server.

i have started and i have had to convert the .ABA file to a .TXT so that it can be read by the system and then i am getting stuck on how to look at the .TXT and the string and move to folder that it is required to be in.

any help would be good

thanks

Hello! When you say "file in a folder", that folder exists on SharePoint? If yes,

Use the SharePoint connector's Get File Contents action to get the contents of your text file.

And then you can create a copy of your text file into the desired folder and delete the old one like how it's done here: Solved: Copy Sharepoit File than delete Original - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

Please accept as solution if solved. If you receive any errors, please provide a copy of the error message. All the best!

    Hi @kaitogoto Kaitogoto
Sorry no this is using the windows file Gateway.
But i have 3 or 4 different files that will have a variant of 4 different starting's. and then for each different starting i would like to put the file in a specific folder so for starting 1 to folder 1 starting 2 to folder 2 and so on.

Let me know what you think.

Thank you for your reply. I would like to ask the following questions:

    1) Can we assume all those folders and files already exist? We don't need to create any new folders?

    2) Did you mistype when you said "starting"? should it say "string"? If not, what do you mean by "starting"?

    Kind Regards
