outlook action not working

Hello,

I've been struggling with a simple desktop Flow that saves email attachments to a local folder.  When I run the Flow the email is not flagged as Read and the files are not saved in the Local folder.

Process:

Launch Outlook \\ Retrieve Emails messages from Outlook \\ Close Outlook

The log is showing this error

 CancellationToken cancellationToken)\r\n   at Microsoft.Flow.RPA.Desktop.UIAutomation.Shared.Rpc.NamedPipesRpcPeer.WaitForConnectionSafe(NamedPipeServerStream server

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tim

You need to actually do something with the attachments or they will not stay saved down.  They are temporarily saved down while the flow is active, but you have to save them down if you don't do so in the Retrieve email messages from Outlook action:

If you do it in the Retrieve Action, great, and they should be in that folder.  If you don't choose this option, then you later need to run a For Each on the e-mails, and choose what to do with %CurrentItem.Attachments%.

    Good luck!

@MichaelAnnis I was running the flow with Retrieve action and nothing is happening.

I keep seeing strange things happen with email

Is the "New" Outlook defaulted to Open Outlook.  I wonder if you want to make sure you are using the Classic Outlook in order to use these features.

If you click the outlook button, you should have the classic view, with the ribbon the "try the new outlook" in the top right is Off.  If you have the new version, it will look same as the web version, and I don't think you can use that with these actions.

    Hey @Maverick79

You can try by putting the value of "Subject Contains".

Can you please share the Screenshot of "Retrieve Email Messages from outlook".
