I created a flow that creates a planner task when an outlook email is flagged and then updates the task detail. Everything works great when I test it, but I go out of editing and try flagging an email the flow doesn't run. In the run history the only ones listed are from my tests.
It turns out I just had to wait. I tried again a day after I started using power automate and my flows are now working. I also created a new one to see if I would need to wait a day and I didn't. It worked immediately. Thank you for the help though.
My email isn't new. It has been flagged in the past. This is however my first day using power automate and planner. Is it possible this is an IT issue or would the test not have worked if there was some kind of protection on IT end?
No, it shouldn't take that long to trigger. 5 minutes is usually the max. are you using a new email that hasn't been flagged before?
It has been almost an hour since I flagged an email. Could it be taking that long? Do I have to have anything other than my email open for the flow to trigger?
Make sure you wait between 2-5 minutes when running the flow based on tagging the email. The trigger can take a few minutes to fire. That's usually the issue if it works when you test but not production.
