Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing a recurring issue with Power Automate flows in production that are triggered via HTTP Request. Every 3 to 4 months, the endpoint URL (request URL) for one or more flows is automatically changed by the platform, without any warning or apparent reason.
This behavior is causing significant disruptions because external services that rely on these flows lose access when the endpoint changes. The services cannot locate the updated URL, leading to failures in critical integrations until the endpoint is manually corrected in the external systems.
I’ve reviewed the flows and connectors, and no manual changes were made that could explain this behavior.
Ps. I’ve attached an image showing the type of URL that is frequently altered by the platform. This URL is the request endpoint generated for the flow, which external services use to trigger automation.
Environment details:
- Flow type: Automation triggered by HTTP Request.
- Issue frequency: Approximately every 3–4 months.
- Impact: External services consuming the endpoint stop working due to the sudden URL change, causing downtime and operational disruptions.
Questions:
- Why does Power Automate automatically change the request endpoint URLs?
- Is there any configuration within the Power Platform to prevent these URL changes?
- What are the best practices to avoid or mitigate the impact of this situation?
Tks!
