Mask my name, when using the Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2 connecter

Hi Experts,

So when adding a button within power app, i am sending items to users via the Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2 connecter.

When the email arrives within their mailbox, it has my name in the from field.

I know you can populate the From: field within Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2 connecter, but then you need to go through all the permissions and get IT to create a shared mailbox I believe?!?
That would be fun with our IT and red tape etc, I just don't have the time for.

Is there a simple way, I can just mask my name as something else like DoNotReply@ThisPlace.com?

Thanks for any advice, you can give me on the subject.

    Hi ,

Looks like you can create an alias for your email. (I have not tried this so not sure)

If you can find a way to create an alias (I found one article but its very old), you should able to use the alias email (donotreply@xyz.com) instead of your primary email address.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards,
    Nandit

    Hi @Nandit,

Very helpful suggestion, I shall look into this.

Did you have a link, to the article you found, to understand the structure/logic?

    Thank you for your help

I just ended up asking our local IT department, to create a shared mailbox, with myself having "Send As" capability.

By referencing the new email address, in the "From" field of the Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2 connecter, this now disguises my personal email address successfully.

    regards
