Hi, I have a file uploading flow from powerApp to sharePoint. People attach a file and upload from powerApp and it uploads on sharepoint. I want to sort the files according 'project name' and 'date' in particular folder. For this I have additional fields 'Project name' and 'Date'. File on sharepoint will be uploaded according that.

However, it keep uploading on the root folder and doesn't sort. Suggestions will be much appreciated.

I'm pretty sure "Create File" action doesn't handle the creation of the folder. You'll need a "Create new Folder" SharePoint action before adding the file.

Thank you for the reply. I want to create a file in a particular folder. The folder will follow the path of project name and date. A folder with project name and date is already created on SharePoint

If the folder definitely exists, you should be able to experiment by selecting an example folder directly (no variables) and confirming that the file does indeed land into that folder. If that works, try combining your full folder name into a single variable before using it on the "create file" action so that you can output exactly what it was using. My gut feel is either the date component is slightly the wrong format or it requires a trailing slash.

I used split functionality at first to determine the folder. That requires user to rename a file, also if someone does not rename properly the file ends up at a wrong place. I created two Text input 'Project name' and 'date'. Is it possible to upload a file according to those input, i.e., if someone has a project name of '001' and date of '2022' the file gets uploaded to 'root folder'>'project name' >'date'. if such folder does not exist then the flow will create one. At the moment all the files are uploaded in the root folder.
