Create a Salesforce Event when an event is created in Office 365 Outlook

Hello,

I'm trying to create an event in Salesforce when I create a meeting in my Outlook calendar. There doesn't seem to be an obvious variable to link the two connections in the template flow has provided.

We have the emails of 95% of the people we would log meetings with in salesforce in our database. Could we create a variable based on an sql lookup on the "Attendees" field in the Outlook meeting and return the Salesforce ID to push through with the even creation call?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi @Anonymous,

    Based on your description of the requirements, I created the following flow configuration:

    Step 1: when you send a meeting email, get it the content of Cc. Then add Get records action of Salesforce connector.

    Step 2: Add compose to process the CC email address, and store them in the EmailAddress Array variable.

    split(triggerBody()?['Cc'],';')

    Step 3: Set up two levels of traversal to find the corresponding Salesforce ID in the email address.

    -If yes, do the event creation.

    You can have a try with it. If there is any problem, please contact us.

    I tried your way but I'm at the Microsoft Business Applications Summit and a couple of the Microsoft employees thought it would be better to go this route. I've gotten to the last step in my flow but for some reason the response from the Salesforce API is giving me an 18 digit Id number. I need the 15 digit Id number to post the event. Is there any way to trim the "Household/Business ID" field shown below?

    Yes, you can refer to this function to sub your ID from Salesforce ID: substring.

    Please have a try, and if you have any questions, please contact us.
