Manual Flow Trigger started by a button

Hi All,

I have set up a flow that is started by a button on a SharePoint page. The button is just a link to the flow with the last word "details" changed to "run" in the url, since it's a manually triggered flow.  It then sends an adaptive card in Teams to ask for a few details. But, using the button with a link opens a browser window and you have to click "Run" again. It works fine, it's just a bit clunky and I'd rather not. Is there a way to set off this flow without the extra prompt? I had thought about a power apps button, but people will mostly be using this from their desktops, and also I don't know how to do that.

Thank you very much for your help.

    Hi @MelBo

If you are not prompting to users for any input parameter in manual trigger flow, then you may convert the same flow to automate flow that runs on the background when any field of the record changes. You may even think of converting the same to schedule flow if you want the flow to trigger on some frequency (minutes, days or weeks etc.). In case of conversion, you need to change the trigger (first action) of the flow.

In that case the users would not get the pop-up window to run the flow. Based on the use case, pls consider if you can convert the manual trigger flow to automate pr schedule flow that runs in the background.

If this helps & solves your problem, please remember to give a 👍 and accept my solution as it will help others in the future.

    Thanks

    Hi Manish,

Thanks for your reply. Sorry, I don't understand. The flow creates the record, so there's no changes to detect. I had put the inputs in the trigger, but it opened the browser window for them enter the details, and I didn't want that so I put the inputs in an adaptive card at the second step of the flow. It then creates an item in a SharePoint list and starts an approval flow. Which works fine, except for opening a browser window at the beginning. Well, here's a screenshot, in case that helps:
