I originally made an application that uses a SharePoint list as the data source. The current number of data items is 750 and it is a bit laggy. I want to transfer it to Dataverse in order to improve performance. Is there any better way?

Convert your SharePoint list to CDS entity using the easy way:
1- Open the make.powerapps.com
2- Data >> Entities
3- Click on the "Get data" button
4- Click on the OData
5- Fill the fields with your URL site, connection, and other dataURL site: https://yourtenant.sharepoint.com/sites/yoursitecollection/_api/web/Lists/getbytitle('thenameofyourl...
6- After loads the data, click on the next button and selects if you want to load using the existing entity or using a new entity
7- Fill the other information and finish your importation
