Created by showing as service account and not user

Hello!

I wonder if someone could help me with a rather odd problem I'm suddenly experiencing.

I have a power app where users fill out a form and it patches to SharePoint. The list is populating with the service account as the created by and not the signed in user.  What is more odd, is that when I use my developer account, the created by is the service account but when I use my standard log in, it works as intended.  The service account is my connection references etc.

Any ideas why??? and how to sort it out? I want all accounts signed in to show as themselves (so I can test functionality when developing).  It used to work fine and this is a recent issue.

    Hi @RMD211,

Could you use a hidden box named as you want with the default User().FullName

I use this on apps to get around this issue and have found it works well.

    Thanks,

    Edd

Thanks but this doesn't work for me.  Still getting the same issue.

I have the same issue.  Was there a resolution?  I am logged in with my user account but it is creating the item in sharepoint under my service account.  ???   I am noticing the issue when I am editing the app in dev mode.  I can write to the screen with User().FullName and it shows my name.  Confused.

Still no resolution! The problem still exists for me.  I haven't raised a ticket with MS on this as the project is now complete and doesn't occur on any other app (that I'm aware of).  Very frustrating and confusing!

21 months later -- I'm having the same issue. I confirmed I am not signed into the cloud service account. I am only logged into my user account.

    Hi, Microsoft. Any thoughts?
