Power App Patch Behavior Question

When using patch to update a sharepoint list. If I only choose some columns will just those columns be updated? Will it overwritte the not chosen columns as blank? Thank you

    it will only update the columns you are patching and will leave the rest of the columns with their existing data.

    Warren is spot on, but I want to add, because you didn't give an example, don't add those things in your patch.
     
    I've seen people essentially blank out their stuff, thinking they needed to at least HAVE the property in the patch.
     
    Only required fields and the ones you want to change :-)
