How to handle asyncronous http responses in power automate

Hi Everyone,

I have a http post request to create items in a database. I receive a 200 response with this body:

 

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?><progressivekeyresponse><progressivekey>M2A1v9c5o3_1697720955841</progressivekey><progressivekeystatus>INPROGRESS</progressivekeystatus></progressivekeyresponse>

As far as I understood the api documentation this is a asyncronous operation and the <progressivekeystatus> changes to "SUCCESS" as soon as the item is stored sucessfully. 

 

How can I fetch the status as soon as it changes to built up error notifications in power automate?

    You should have another API call that allows you to query that status.  Depending on how the call usually takes to complete you can set up a reasonable polling interval (for example every 10 minutes).
