Explaining flow license do all users need it run a flow with a premium connector?

Hi

I'm wondering if i create a flow that uses a premium connector. Do all users that intend to run this flow need a license that supports a premium connectors?

The flow runs under the system account with the license and the triggers are most likely when something happens to an item in SharePoint.

Example 1:

System account (Flow plan 2) creates a flow. The flow is triggered when an item in SharePoint is created/updated. This flow contains premium connectors so it should run on the System account users Flow Plan 2 license correct?

Example 2:

System account (Flow plan 2) creates a flow. Trigger is for a selected file in share point. When a users runs this do the user that starts the flow need to have a Flow plan that supports premium connectors if the flow contains a premium connector?

In example 2 it gets weird because i have a old flow that the users can run without any issues, but if i save a copy of the same flow now the user gets an error saying Does not have a service plan adequate for the non-Standard connection. But the old flow works without any issue. It does contain premium connectors.

    Hi @JimmyWork

In the first case, all users would not require the premium license as all actions will be happening in context of the system account.

In the second case, it depends on the flow configuration that the connections are provided by the user running it or the system account. You can change that to the system account as well.

    Hope this Helps!

@yashag2255 Thank you for answering and your answer is how i feel it should work.

    But it is not.

I use the account with license to run flows and make it use that connection in the flow. But when the user starts this they can't run it. Now the original flow works. But of i copy this flow it stops working and errors out due to user license.

Maybe a bug when you copy a flow?

I will try to rebuild it from scratch.
