Assigning "Power Apps per app plan" licenses to Azure AD groups

Hello guys,

In the past, we have shared our Power Apps to individual users and allocated sufficient amount of Power Apps per app plans to the environment depending on how many users the app is shared with. This has worked great in the past but the per app licenses are lacking a little bit of documentation to get a full understanding of them.

Now, we'd like to change to start managing the Power App access with Azure AD security groups. We have tested it lightly so that the users part of the group can open the app and a security role can be assigned to the whole group.

The only question is now the licensing. Let's say I have 10 users part of the Azure AD security group below. I will share the Power App with this security group.

I have also allocated 10 Power Apps per app licenses to the environment where this canvas app exists.

Question: Is the environment able to assign the 10 allocated per app licenses to all 10 members of the group that open the app?

Is there yet a way to confirm that the licenses were actually assigned to the users who have opened the app?

Thanks in advance,

Ville

I have the same issue. This feature where you can track the "app passes" is still in preview. You would find it in Power Platform Admin Center | Billing | Licenses. View license consumption (preview) - Power Platform | Microsoft Learn

As far as I know, there is no other possibility to get this information. An alternative would be highly appreciated!
