Hi everyone,
Could you please help modify my flow when the Approval request is cancelled.
Right now the flow continues as 'True' and sends an email although the request got cancelled.
The failure report is a periodic thing. You'll get it in about a week or so.
Perfect. Thanks @Pstork1. I have no received the email of now from power automate. If it happens, I will update it to show "Succeeded". Thanks for all the help.
The only problem I've had with using Cancelled in the past is that Power Automate will consider that a failure and send you an email that your flow failed. I normally use Succeeded, because it ends the flow, but marks it as successful. But either will work.
Hi @Pstork1 ,
It worked perfectly. Thank you so much for all the help. I have Thumbs Up and Accepted your Solution.
I did say the flow to say Cancelled.
Under Terminate, should it say cancelled or the other options ?
Something like this after the Approval.
@Pstork1 Yes, i agree. I liked your idea better. Could you help on how to create a flow which incorporates your idea ?
You can do it that way, but I suspect you want to do something different if the Approval was cancelled instead of rejected. To handle that I would use two different condition actions with the one to check for cancellation coming first and then if it isn't cancelled check to see if it was rejected or not. But it depends on what you want to do when its cancelled.
Hi @Pstork1 ,
Unfortunately, because condition mentions 'Does not contain Reject' it continues with the True Condition.
Should I modify the condition to Add a new flow, which says ' AND Not Equal to "BLANK " '?
If the Approval request is cancelled by the sender then the Outcome of the Approval will be an empty string. If you test for Outcome equals blank that should tell you the approval was cancelled and you can terminate the flow.
