Hello MS Copilot Community,
I'm encountering an issue with the Microsoft Copilot Generative Answer Node in the Teams app and seeking your expertise. The Node functions perfectly in both the MS Copilot Studio and the demo website, using SharePoint pages as data sources. However, when I use the published app in Microsoft Teams, the GenAI Node fails to display generative answers for SharePoint page data sources.
Here's what I've done so far:
Despite thorough checks and rechecks of the setup process (detailed in the following MS Learn pages), this issue persists:
Has anyone else faced this problem, or does anyone have suggestions for a solution? Any insights or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Importation points to note:
I registered the App in Azure, tested the SSO with the Demo Site and within the Studio Test and it successfully using the GenAI Node and answered the question based on the content on the SharePoint page. I included the Sites.Read.All and Files.Read.All in the Scope along with the existing profile and openid values
Thank you, Jim Muller
They got a solution to this case?
Hi @adilei , does that mean this is a known issue? I'm still searching the internet for a solution, but if its a known issue I can sit tight for now. I did submit a support ticket and pending a reply while I continue to search. I just don't want to keep searching if this is a known issue that will get resolved on its own with out any additional work on my part. Thank you for the help and any insight you can provide.
@jamesmuller , can't be 100% certain, but seems like it's an issue that should be fixed soon. You can still open a support ticket, though, just to verify.
Hi @adilei ,
That is correct. When I use the Demo Site I'm prompted to login, I get the code and return it the chat and then I'm signed in and the GenAI node with the SharePoint page as its datasource workers. This also works when I'm testing the bot in Microsoft Copilot Studio. I published the bot to Teams Admin Center using the Manifest. But when use the app in Teams the GenAI does not work. When a new users added the bot in Teams for the first time, it will start the conversation with the msg you need to login, but then proceeds without providing the login button like the Demo Site and proceeds with the greeting topic.
Hi Henry,
I did deploy using the manifest and uploading in teams admin center.
@jamesmuller , just to make sure, Gen Answers responds as expected when signing in using the "login" card, but not when the login is handled by Teams?
That's odd. Did you try to deploy the bot to Teams using the manifest (so that SSO works well)
