Download Excel file from link in email?

Hi all,

I have several flows that will save Excel attachments from emails to a Sharepoint document library.

However, one of the platforms that I use sends an email with a link to download the Excel file ("Click here to download the report").

Is there any way for Power Automate to download this file and save it to Sharepoint?

Thanks!

This can be achieved in Power Automate flow using below steps:
    1. Flow Trigger: When a new email arrives
    2. Parse the email body (or HTML) - using Compose action. This is required to extract the URL. (assuming the link formatting in email body is consistent)
    3. Use the HTTP action with GET request - to get the file content (use the URL which you got the previous step). Use proper Authentication mechanism for this step.
    4. Use the Create File for SharePoint action - File Content you can pass the output of previous HTTP action.

    Hello,

Thanks for the reply! I'm a little bit confused with #3 and 4.

The Input for my Compose action is the Body from the email.

Should the URI for the HTTP request be the Compose Output (as shown in the screenshot)?

The download URLs in the email are all different each time, but they all start with "https://42y7l4ikac.execute-api.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/default/download"

I was able to separate the link and setup the HTTP request.

The link goes to a webpage with some content that automatically downloads the XLSX file. The body from the HTTP request seems to be a bunch of CSS.

How can I get the downloaded file, instead?
