Cloud Flow not executing Desktop Flow

I have setup a Power Automate Cloud Flow, to run a connected Desktop Flow, which is to open a webpage and execute some actions.
The desktop flow works flawlessly when run from Power Automate Desktop on its own, however, when the desktop flow is run from the Cloud Flow, the flow stops after opening the webpage, and displays en error "Run_a_flow_built_with_Power_Automate_for_desktop'failed: Problem while executing action 'LaunchEdge'. Failed to assume control of Microsoft Edge (communication with Power Automate web extension failed)
I receive the same error, regardless of web browser (have used Mozilla, Chrome and Edge, all of which work in Desktop Flow, yet fail when executed by the Cloud Flow.
 
Any ideas?

    Hi,
     
    The first thing I would check is to make sure you have the most up to date browser extensions on your VM.  Also, goes without saying, make sure you are on the most recent version of PAD on said VM.
     
    The next thing to do is run the desktop flow in attended mode on the VM, meaning you log into the machine and run it attended, just as if you would on your local machine.  This step is to confirm is actually runs on the machine.
     
    If you get this far, you know it is not VM specific, and the flow should run in unattended mode.
     
    From my experience, the connection issue with browsers is almost always related to browser extensions and PAD versions and updating extensions and PAD versions have resolved this for me.

    trice602  thank you for your suggestions, however they failed to address the issue,
     
    Power Automate - Running latest version
    Power Automate Cloud & Power Automate Desktop is connected and using the same account,
    The POD flow runs without error every time in Power Automate Desktop on all browsers that I have tried - Edge, Chrome, & Firefox
    All browsers are running the most current version.
    I have removed the Power Automate browser extension and reinstalled them. 
     
     
    The error continues to occur, regardless of whether it is run in attended or unattended mode.
