Help building agent depending on topic pulls from different files

I have made a simple agent that just let you ask questions about 3 unrelated topics and using them all as the data source and uses them to answer the question.

But what i really want is the usre to select which topic they want and once selected it uses the knowledge source specfic to that topic. So each topic would have different knowledge sources. I'm guessing each topic needs to be separate and attached to knowledge source. But i have no idea how to do this.

EXAMPLE:

At Conversation start ask select which topic you'd like help with? Topic A, Topic B, Topic C (are the topics the variables? I am so lost.

user asks question user asks question user asks question

Answer comes from File A Answer comes from File B Answer comes from File B

I need a pretty detailed answers with examples if anyone can help. When i create a topic first thing it asks for is a trigger when i thought that would come later. Don't know what to put. If you can built a template of an agent setup this way it would help me understand..

Hello,

As you mention, you should create different topics, and for each topic, select the file or files you want to use to generate the answer (using the "properties" of the "create generative answers" action).

I can't figure out how to reply to FCHOPO Specifically so I guess i have to reply to my post. Thank you for your response. I need a little help before that. In your example your topic like mine starts with a trigger. Yours appears to be set to phrase. I am guessing the phrase is a keyword that triggers the topic that it pulls from a specific knowledge. But i can't even figure out how to set it to phrase. Then you show create generative answers. Is that a trigger or a variable. I really need a bit more to understand this. I even tried using copilot to help me figure this out but couldn't ask the right questions to get what i need.

Ferran, Ok i found out that part of the issue is i couldnt see phrases. I had Generative AI preview on instead of classic. Now things are making more sense. I'll still have questions but at least can use what you have shared. Thank you again for your help.
