I am unable to connect to Office 365 Outlook to send custom mails to users. I get the error "Please check your account info and/or permissions and try again. Details: You are not authorized to perform this operation. This error can occur for sandbox (test) accounts or if OData operations are disabled by your Exchange server administrator. clientRequestId: a8eef7f7-5217-497a-b1ce-a213109fd9a2-self".

I am able to use othher connectors including Office 365 Users etc.

My IT team has no clue what may be wrong.

    Hi @Anonymous,

The error message told that you have no access to perform this action. This error may be caused by the OData operations of your Office 365 Outlook are disabled by your Exchange server administrator.

I have made a test on my side and don't have the issue that you mentioned. Please check if the Exchange server administrator has disabled the OData operations of your Office 365 Outlook.

In addition, please check if the connection to the Office 365 Outlook connector is valid, if not, please update the connection to the Office 365 Outlook connector.

You could also consider take a try to re-create a connection to the Office 365 Outlook connector and check if the issue is solved.

    Best regards,

    Kris

@Anonymous  yes, my O365 admin had not whitelisted the agents required. Once that was done, it worked for me.

    Thanks @Anonymous .

Just passed this response to our IT people and they are still no wiser for some reason(because O365 is new here I guess).

What are these agents you speak of please?

    Regards.

I too would like more specifics to resolve this issue:

    1) As the Exchange Admin, how do enable OData operations in Outlook?

    2) As the O365 Admin, how do I whitelist the appropriate agents required? (what are the appropriate agents required?)

Prescriptive steps would be most appreciated.

@Anonymous, could you give more details on what you mean by "agents"? I'm a global admin running into this issue while using a licensed account for the Outlook connector.

If you look at the documentation under known limitations the agents are listed.

     - Additionally, if you are using an EWS application access policy, please ensure that the following user-agents are whitelisted: "LogicAppsDesigner/*","azure-logic-apps/*","PowerApps/*", "Mozilla/*"
