Automating a Flow with Multiple instances in Chrome Before Excel Extraction

Hello,

I want to automate a flow, but I need your help!

So far, I haven’t encountered any issues with the first steps. However, once I click the GO button, a new Chrome window opens, and in this window, I have to click several buttons before I can perform the extraction to Excel.

Could you please advise me on how to handle this?

I have the same question (0)

    Hello,

After your flow clicks the GO -button you seem to have "Launch new Chrome" and that will open new window of the url you have given it. But in my understanding the window opens automatically so your flow should not open another one. There for you should change the "Launch new Chrome" -actions "Launch mode" -setting to not open new window but attach to already open chrome window.

So after the GO -button opens new browser window you should use "Attach to running instance" -launch mode instead of the default "Launch new instance" in your "Launch new Chrome" -action.

Then if the title is always the same then use "Attach to Chrome tab" "By title" (the browser window needs to be open for you to be able to select it). Or if the URL  and title change on each flow run then choose to attach by foreground window (just make sure its always in the foreground before that action executes).

Then remember to make the next actions to refer to %Browser2% instance instead of the main window %Browser% instance.

Thank you very much for your help, it was really useful for me. I completed the flow and it worked perfectly. I’m now able to save the extraction as an Excel file in a desktop folder.

I just have one small question: would it be better to do this in a separate flow? For example, a flow that moves the file from the folder to SharePoint, adds a date prefix to the old file, and places the new one in the SharePoint folder in order to keep the history?
