MS Form content to Word doc / PDF?

Hi there,

I am trying to create a flow that triggers from an MS form submission. I would then like to take the form contents and convert it to a Word doc/PDF and then email it to someone. Is this possible, it would need to be formatted? I've seen some flows with 'populate a word template' but that doesn't seem to be an option for me. please send help!

Thanks

Anna

You say "I've seen some flows with 'populate a word template' but that doesn't seem to be an option for me", I assume this is because you do not have the relvant licence to use the populate a word template.

Once I know the above I may be able to help you further.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

As @Andrew_J said, you can use the Populate a Word template action to achieve what you want. It is a premium connector and requires that you have a premium Power Automate license, which may be why he cannot see it.

I have not tried this method, but this YouTube video will show you how to do this without the need to use the premium connector: https://youtu.be/Qj8SIiGJRnc?si=K-lzERZrFTGU-9CF. The premium connector is a lot easier 🙂

This is how the connector looks when you have a Word document configured:

The actual fields will vary of course depending on how you have configured the template, but simply put the dynamic content from MS Forms into the fields (mine is coming from SharePoint).

To attach it to your Outlook message, use the Body of the action in the Attachment content field and specify the attachment name with a docx extension.
