Rich Text Editor in SharePoint list

I have a two SharePoint lists. One SharePoint lists has these columns: Ticket #, Status, Email Template (Rich Text Editor). My second SharePoint list has Status and Email Template columns. What I want to do is whenever I select Status (1st list) from my dropdown, it will get the email template set on the SharePoint list that I have.

Is this possible?

    Hi @biancadevera

    I have a few questions.

    1. Is it email template is multi-line text in Sharepoint?
    2. Do you want the email template updated from SP list 1 to SP list 2 on change on Status?
    3. Status name is the key to connect/match both SP Lists

    Hi @StalinPonnusamy

    • Is it email template is multi-line text in Sharepoint? Yes
    • Do you want the email template updated from SP list 1 to SP list 2 on change on Status? It's vice versa. The list of email templates should be in SP list 2 then it will update the SP list 1
    • Status name is the key to connect/match both SP Lists? Yes

    Hi @biancadevera

I recommend creating Power Automate for this scenario.

    • Trigger Based on SP List 1 Update
    • Get data from SP list 2 and Update SP list 1
    • This pattern will create an infinite loop. So we have to create one more field to make sure this update happens only one time
    1. Create a new field in SP list 1 ( Called : UpdatedRequired, Type : Yes/No)
    2. Using PowerApps, When you save the data, make sure to set Yes on this new field
    3. Create Power Automate
      1. Trigger: Scheduled Cloud Flow
      2. Condition: When an Item is Modified or created
    4. Update SP list with the new field to "No"
    5. Your flow will look like this

Condition to avoid an infinite loop

Update Template and the field to No
