If you initialze a string variable, it's not an array. 😉

Just set the type in your initialization.

Ok thanks, what type should an email address be?

An email address is a string.

What actions you need depends on your case:

    • If you want this string in a variable, you have to initialze a variable of type "String" and use "Set variable" to change it.
    • If you want to store several email addresses in a variable, you can initialze a variable of type "Array" and use "Append to array variable" for each address.
    • If you don't want to change the value or append it to an array, you probably shouldn't use a variable at all.

Btw, how did you manage to put a "Initialze variable" into an "Apply to teach"?

    Ususally that isn't possible.

I'm not sure what that means to be honest! I am using this from within Power BI so maybe that has something to do with it.

    As per instructions, I've:

    1. Initialised variable and set to string

    2. Set variable - same issue with name not appearing.

My main objective here is to send a report that is filtered to each email. Each row of the report has a column where the email is on it so it can be filtered.

Maybe there is a different way to think about this?
