Launch new Chrome actions opens up old tabs

Hello,

The problem that i have is that when i use launch new chrome, sometimes it opens up some recently closed tabs.

I tried to use clear cookies and clear cache on launch.

I followed some steps that i found on some other posts, like disabling chrome from running on background and setting the exit_type to normal but nothing worked.

I have the same question (0)

Please try terminate action before launching new chrome.

    Hope this workaround will work

I use DOS commands to terminate chrome before and after my process run like this "taskkill /F /IM Chrome.exe" but i'll give it a try.

    Thank you.

The problem got solved by changing "exit_type":"Crashed"to "none" on the file "Preferences".

The path for the file is "AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default".

After changing that you basically disable Chrome's popup window "Restore pages" that in my case caused the problem.

That's the file that you need to change. Also, after that u need to right click preferences, go to properties and set it to Read-only in order to stop chrome from updating it.

If you need to change something on Chrome like the download folder you need to disable Read-only in order to save the settings.
