Dynamic content not available in Power Automate with Microsoft Teams

Hi All,

I am trying to automate the creation of AZDO work item from MS Teams channel chat message. However, when I try using action components like Compose, Substring etc, am unable to add two numbers because the dynamic content is not available in the Compose action. See attached image. Is dynamic content not yet available in Power Automate with Teams ? Please advise work arounds if anyone knows.

Missing "dynamic content" option in the compose box:

Code view:

Settings for Compose:

Run result (Failed because "add" is literally taken in and not as dynamic content):

    Hello @Anonymous

Dynamic content should be available in the flyer(screenshot below)

You can also create expressions -

Hi @CFernandes , Thanks for your response but as shown in the screenshot, I do not see the "Add dynamic content" option.

    Hi @Anonymous ,

Was your Teams working on desktop client or browser? Besides, you can try and use Initialize variable instead of Compose to calculate the result.

    Best regards,

hi @v-jefferni , Thanks for your response. I was using Teams client. Could you help / guide how to use calculations in Initialize ? I can try that.

    Hi @Anonymous ,

It's exact the same as Compose in this case.

In addition, please remove and re-add the Compose operator to check whether will the issue be resolved.

    Best regards,
