Associating a numeric value with a choice / option set value other than the internal numeric value.

I'm trying to track in 15-minute intervals how long a person spends with a client.

The idea is that the person selects from an option set how long they spent with the client on a form.

When they save the form, I would like to copy the numeric version of the time spent (not the label) to a separate table via a process to track how long has been spent during each interaction with each client.

This is an addition to an MDA app.

I thought that this would be a pretty standard thing to do, so I was hoping that I could do this with an option set and without the need to write code.  I'm not managing to solve this.

Am I going about it the wrong way from a power apps perspective?

Has someone solved this already and there is a well-defined pattern for this?

TIA

Robert
