I'm moving my Tenant

Hello.

Today, I was told that my company is leaving it's existing host and moving to another.  They told me it would happen as of Nov. 30th.

I pooped myself.

We are a small company and I'm a very causal o365 guy.

I love PowerApps and have spent several months building an app for my company, and it works well, and everyone loves it.

When I migrate, I'm using software (Kernel) to move my sites.  As I've tested it on the new host, it's identical and i'm quite happy.

My problem is, my PowerApp, it doesn't transfer.
Do I have to rebuild my App?  Or can I somehow copy what I have?

I'm desperate, because it's going to be the Thanksgiving weekend, and mom will be pissed if i'm sitting behind a computer.

Thanks ahead of time!

    Hello,

You can migrate your apps between environments and tenants. Check following article - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/environment-and-tenant-migration

    Hi,
Don’t panic 🙂 this is a common scenario.

PowerApps are not automatically migrated when you move SharePoint sites to a new tenant. They are tied to the source tenant environment, connections, and IDs, so they won’t work as-is in the new host.

You do not need to rebuild the app from scratch, but you do need to:
Export the PowerApp package from the source tenant

Import it into the target tenant
Recreate or remap data connections and permissions
If you’re doing a full tenant-to-tenant move, tools like CloudBik handle the SharePoint data migration, while PowerApps are re-imported and reconnected in the target tenant as part of the post-migration steps. This significantly reduces manual effort and downtime.

Hope this saves your Thanksgiving — and keeps mom happy 😊
