Flow to copy items from list to excel

Hey,

I built the following Flow:

Get all items from a list
For all items do:
1. Copy item to Excel-Online-Sheet (all fields + additional field "date" with date = today())

The list contains around 500 items and the Excel-Online-Sheet around 50.000 rows.

During the last weeks the Flow did work quite unreliable: It took a long time (maybe understandable) but also every other day or so there appeared an error "Bad Gateway".

Any idea why this happens or how to prevent this?

Hi Oliver93,

Regarding the time the flow is taking, did you saw a difference between the runs?

What is the frequency that you have this flow running?

Is it possible that it's running into throttling - what is the license you're using?

Regarding the bad gateway error, they usually are temporary or transient, please try to resubmit the flow.

If you are still having the issue, please try to recreate the flow to see if it will work.

Hey ancunha,

the flow runs daily and here you see the different execution times:

I already tried rebuilding the whole flow, that didn't change anything.

My best guess would be that the Excel file is too big, because I tried reducing it in another scenario and that helped. I'd do it here as well, but I need all the data in this one sheet.

I'm using the license Microsoft 365 Business Basis / Microsoft Power Automate Free

What is the size of the excel file?

The maximum size of an Excel file that is supported by the Excel Online (Business) connector is 25 MB.

the excel file is about 6mb, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Hi @Oliver93 ,

Could you please share the screenshot of the configuration of the flow?

Does the flow would always run failed with gateway timeout error?

I suggest that you could contact Microsoft for any help with this issue since it couldn't be confirmed on my side.
