Format number to Percentage in Power Automate

Hi all,

I have a column named "Variance %", and it's a percentage on Power BI, but when I e-mail through Power Automate, it becomes a decimal value (Image 1)

I need this to become a % on the e-mail, like it is on Power BI (Image 2)

I looked for other users with the same problem, but the answer was always to change the specific number into %. I can't do that, because there will be a lot of different variances. I need it to change the entire column to %...

This is my flow today....

Any help will be welcome.

Thank you!

I think you'll need to use a Select action on that value, and wrap it in a formatNumber(outputs('Variance %'),'P').

Here's my test of that... (ugly numbers, I didn't take time to get them to be the right value ... just to get them formatted with the %)

    Leads to...

Here's a big ole' list of custom formatting you can do..

@cardinali can you please use 'Parse JSON' action just after your trigger 'On Power BI Button clicked'.

You will then have to use 'Select' action and format the variance field with formatNumber(outputs('Variance %'),'P') expression

It didn't work 😕 I'm still learning how to use Power Automate, so I don't know how to use it really well.

What do I put in the Schema part? I looked for it on Google but they use other flows

For the formatnumber part, i did it like this:

@cardinali - Add a compose action after the trigger and pass 'Power BI Data' dynamic content there and run the flow once.

Copy Outputs from that action from flow run will be used as sample which can be inserted in schema.

Click on 'Generate from sample' button and copy paste the data there that will act as a schema.

    Hope this helps!
