Flow History shows email successfully sent but no email was actually sent & Flow history Send an email (V2) unable to open for further investigation

Hi All,

I have a flow that sends an email every time a new employee is created in the SharePoint list.

For this case, the flow history shows it ran successfully indicating an email was sent & the SharePoint column indicates the email sent was marked yes, however when I checked the "From (Send as)" Email Sent folder, no email was sent.

Also, the send an email V2 action in the run history is not able to open for further investigation. What could be the issue?

Below is part of the flow in edit mode, Thanks.

    Hi @tanst_844288

From the screenshot you attached, the action "Send an email (V2)" was skipped, which means the input array of the Apply to each loop is empty.

Could you please add a Compose action and choose the dynamic content used in Send an email action? It would help to check if the content is empty or not.

    Thanks.

    Best regards,

    Sylvia

    Hi @v-peijunz-msft,

do you see "Send an email (V2) 2" in the "Apply to each"  in the "if no" branch?

    Hi @tanst_844288 ,

    1) did you check "Sent items" folder?

    2) Did you do the message trace procedure?

    Hi @VictorIvanidze

Yes, from the screenshot the result turned false, so it went with the If no branch.

"Get file content" and "Update item 2" were all passed in the if no branch, and only "send an email" was ignored in that branch.

Hi @v-peijunz-msft, please forgive me - I was wrong.

    Hi @v-peijunz-msft ,

I was oblivion to the Apply for Each step until you pointed it out.

I think it was added automatically when I update the 'Get file content' step - the flow was working fine previously.

I have removed the 'Apply for each' step & rerun my flow. Its solved now. Thanks
