Extract formula output and send as part of email template

Hi!

I currently have a flow in which users fill out a Form, the form then gets put into the normal spreadsheet generated from a form, than is put into a separate aggregate spreadsheet and auto generates some titles based on the user input (ie. Form-Site-Number-Fiscal Year) and then takes the information from the aggregate spreadsheet and sends an outlook email containing some information to a recipient.

While the process is running smoothly, I am running into the issue where instead of sending the title generated, it is sending the formula to generate the title. I've tried looking and I can't find a way to copy the title and not the formula.

    Hi @Anonymous ,

Please make sure you use the table name from the excel worksheet, you have to use the key column and key value to achieve what you required. Also, please check whether the column is read as text. Please refer the below link to fix the issue.

Hi, it seems I wasn't clear enough in my last post.

    Add row.PNG

I get the information from the form and add it into a table. This step has no issues and generates the table entry perfectly fine.

    Email Body.PNG

Then I take the information from the table and put it into an email to send to a team and specified recipient.

The email sends with the information perfectly fine, however the information is not being pulled properly.

    Sent Emal.PNG

The sent email is sending the correct cells, however instead of doing the displayed information, it shows the formula behind it (ie. Due Date showing =$D2+20 instead of May 3rd). I was wondering how to make it so it displays the shown date of May 3rd in the cell and not the formula behind it.

The topic was discussed before here: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/General-Power-Automate/Get-row-from-excel-does-not-read-formula-data/td-p/695604

Long story short: It needs up to 30 minutes after the last insert until you get the correct values.

Hi, the issue is not this. The values are displaying fine in the spreadsheet, I just can't extract the formula output.

Please try using expression in Compose action to calculate and store the data. Then you can use the Compose action’s output as an input to your field.
