I have solution containing a canvas app which uses Environmental Variables. The variables are also within the solution etc and functions correctly in our DEV environment. When we move the solution to the UAT environment Choice and People fields do not function. Has anyone else seen this behaviour ?
@Ianhall1892 can you please let me know what is the error? I hope you have removed the current value in your environment variables before exporting the solution from dev environment.
Hi I remove the current values from the solution before publishing and then reselect them on import into UAT. Drop downs and People, pickers are not functioning. The App does pick up data from the SharePoint list. Error below.
@Ianhall1892 , I can see from the above error like, there is not list which you have been used in the source environment, hence it is getting failed, check the list internal name if it exists in target environment. If yes, can please check the list permissions as well.
The lists are in both the DEV and UAT environments permissions seem ok
@Ianhall1892 , Hope the internalname of the lists are also same, can you please share the screenshots of list internal name in both Dev and UAT, if that's fine with you.
This list ID's are both different but they would be anyway as they are on different site collections. Shouldn't reselecting the list when prompted on import over come this and the text and date fields still work in the app and value stored in the list.
@Ianhall1892 , I suspect it's referring to the dependent List which you might have mapped to your picker column, is that dependent list available in UAT?
We are having similar issues with other app so I created a simple list with some choice fields a date field and a person field and linked the app up to it so there nothing complicated going on. other people seem to havi gthe same issue,
