Hi,

I am trying to get a python script working in PAD. However it seems PAD can't find Numpy.
I have already got the script working outside PAD (VS Code using python 2.7 kernel).

This is the error I get:

And this is how the script looks:

Whether I fill in the Module folder paths setting or not, the error persist.

Anyone can give any pointers to a solution?

Since this is not a PAD error but simply PAD runs the script and displays the error in the foreground.
So a web search on "missing required dependencies 'numpy'" is giving a lot of results with various solutions like missing installations, reinstallations, etc. Could you try out which ones could be relevant to your situation.

Hi @VJR

I am unsure what you propose I should do. As I said, the script runs fine outside of PAD (through Command Prompt), so I am pretty certain that the issue lies with PAD. My guess is how it checks for dependencies.

If nothing else, I'll raise a ticket with MS support.

If it is running fine through CMD, can you have PAD run CMD instead of trying to run python script? PADs CMD integration is top notch and I use it in almost all my flows.

Sorry, I missed to see that you are able to run the script outside of PAD.

Suggestion from MichaelAnnis should work for you from the cmd.

CMD indeed seems like the best solution. Would be nice if the 'Run python script' worked well, but guess we can't have it all.
The benefit of this is that I could have made it in Python 3.X. Oh well...
