PowerApps with SharePoint Online and SQL

Hi,

I create PowerApps application for my company, which uses SharePoint Online and Azure SQL as a datasource.

I have few users, which haven't any Office 365 license, but they will have to have an access to this app.

Is Office Enterprise E1 will be suitable and enough for that case?

I have the same question (0)

Hi @JohnLambert, an E1 would include a PowerApps for Office 365 license which allows access to Office 365 data sources and other cloud services using standard connectors. I believe this license should be enough for your scenario.

PowerApps component framework is currently in public preview for the model-driven apps and we will be releasing Canvas app preview next.

Model-driven apps custom components developemtn requires P2 license. We will be sharing the framework licensing requirement details for canvas app as we make the release available.

    Thanks,

    Hemant

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply, but it's canvas app. Do you know if when it's canvas app, which uses Azure SQL as a datasource, license O365 Enterprise E1 will be suitable?

CDS backend will be needed for custom component development however once controls are created they can be used against other data sources too. Exact licensing requirements are still being worked out and will be shared with canvas support release.
