SQL Connection not working

Hi,

I am recieving the following error when trying to create an SQL connection in flow:

Please check your account info and/or permissions and try again. Details: Microsoft SQL: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - No such host is known.)
clientRequestId: 74DC6D17-9116-4644-A1BC-7B1D607B7031

The SQL server is on premise, all the login details are correct and I am leaving gateway blank. Also the SQL server accepts remote connections as we have an external system called Firmstep connected to it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Sean

    Hi @Anonymous ,

    Does the issue still exists?

Please take a try with the flow again and let me know and also share the screenshot of the configuration of the Connection if the issue still exists.

    Best regards,

    Alice

Side question. Say the sql connector trigger is working but sometimes runs into "A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server" is there a way in power-automate to put a retry loop because this is a common issue...

I am facing the same issue, although I am trying to use Windows Authentication as the Authentication type.

It works fine when I connect to my Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio using Windows Authentication type. But when using the same credentials though logic app this error occurs:
